215 Storytelling & Shadow Puppet Performance at Stereo Kawalis
215 Storytelling & Shadow Puppet Performance at Stereo Kawalis
215 is a mobile shadow puppet and storytelling performance created and directed by Dima Nachawi inspired by real testimonies of former prisoners of conscience from Syria and the wider MENA region. The project explores how detainees resisted systematic dehumanization by creating inner worlds of light through memory, music, poetry, imagination, and collective presence.
Combining shadow puppetry, live storytelling, and an original soundscape, 215 transforms documented experiences of detention into a poetic, immersive journey that moves from darkness toward resistance and liberation.
This performance is in collaboration with AFAC.
