PRAED is the Swiss–Lebanese duo of Raed Yassin (synth/electronics) and Paed Conca (clarinet), active since 2006 and known for blending Egyptian shaabi with electronics and improvisation. Based between Beirut and Europe, the duo treat the structures of shaabi keyboard riffs, street rhythms and vocal fragments as raw material to be reshaped through repetition and live processing.Their sound has evolved across international touring and collaborations with a wide network of experimental musicians from Europe and the MENA region.
