Choreo-lab: create your own score
This workshop invites participants to explore choreographic scores as a way of making and thinking about dance. We’ll begin with a series of improvisation scores that bring movement and voice into play. From there, participants will learn how to build their own choreographic scores: how to find and generate material to work with, how to set up a structure, define its parameters, and leave room for the unexpected.Whether you’re drawn to dancing or to creating with dance, you’ll leave with a set of practical tools you can carry into your own artistic practice.
